Forest Schools Level 3 Practitioners Award

This course is designed to train participants in how to lead Forest School Sessions with children or adults.

We will cover such aspects as:

~ Child development
~ Neuro-science
~ Accelerated Learning
~ Woodland conservation
~ Regulations that enable safe outdoor education.

The level 3 programme is demanding of energy and time. Participants must complete an extensive portfolio to dealine.

The course includes an intial training of 5 consecutive days followed by an assessment 5 day session some 6 months after this. It also requires 6 sessions working with Forest School during that period>

Inset Day: Introduction to teaching primary school level in a woodland environment

Designed for people working with primary school children. Builds confidence in using the outdoors with direct experience of the inspiration of nature. Provides an extensive tool box of games, activities and ideas.
Venue: Any of four Forest School sites in the Welshpool/Newtown area.

Inset training day for school staff teams, on school premises or on an agreed Forest School site

This is an inspiring day for all the staff, teachers and support staff to discover for themselves the opportunities for learning in a woodland setting. There will be lots of activities that can be adapted for different stages of learning and fun team building challenges.
COST from £500 per day.

OCN Level 1 Forest School

We sometimes offer this basic training for people who want to learn more about Forest School and would like to volunteer at sessions. This course covers Basic Practical skills and Learning and Development.
